Oh dear, oh dear

Well, I don't know what's worse. The fact that we conceded four, or the fact that we didn't manage to score against a notoriously leaky team.

SO WHAT WENT WRONG??

Well, Curbs was "perplexed" but I think I know why. The backbone of our team is poor and inconsistent. Fish, Fortune, Kishishev and Euell have shown that, on their day (e.g. against Villa), they CAN do the job. We all know, however, that they will let you down.

WHERE THE HELL IS CHRIS PERRY?????

Anyone know? I always thought he was our most 'intelligent' defender with excellent positional sense but then why isn't he playing!? Fish seems to be the old favourite - sluggish and lacks concentration, and Fortune is inconsistent and inexperienced. Also, why has El-Karkouri, our £1m defender (our most expensive centre-back at the club?) only featured a few sub-appearances in midfield?? Ah well, I'm expecting changes for the Southampton game.

BALANCED SIDE??

I think at last we have an attacking team which is probably the only reason we beat Villa 3-0. Last season we relied on our counter-attacking abilities which is why we won alot of away games but let the pressure get to us at home. This time we have got exciting football (at times) but we need the gritty-defensive balance unless we rotate for home and away. Curbs said in the post-match interview that he didn't want to have to rotate, and i agree to a point, but I don't care what it takes to win the game.
